The belly just happened.  One day I was an active, sports-loving guy.  The next day, I was an overweight 20-something.  While it didn’t happen overnight, it certainly happened.  I lived in denial for a few years.  When I finally decided to do something about my weight—I began to walk.  Walking turned to jogging and jogging to races.  The races turned into marathons: Chicago, Dallas, and then Boston.  Upon qualifying for Boston, I realized I still was far short of my fitness goals.  Running was great and all, but I needed something else.  So, at the end of 2009 I went looking for that something else and found CrossFit. I have never looked back.  CrossFit has not only satisfied the fitness side of the equation, but it also unexpectedly gave me direction with nutrition.  I stay active with a wide range of hobbies, running, traveling, eating, and golf (to name a few).I have 2 kids and I love seeing them active and participating in CF Kids.  My wife is unbelievably supportive with my CrossFitting and she’s thrilled that I finally got on board in the nutrition side of things.  My two dogs don’t really care, because they’re dogs.
