I walked out of the local “globogym” and into the CFLH box for my first time in 2009. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I had not really been working out effectively since my last day of off-season in high school football. I also soon discovered that CrossFit was fun, challenging, competitive, rewarding, exhausting and exhilarating. And, before I knew it, I was forming fast bonds with my classmates and coaches. A great workout with a community driven spirit, count me in! After competing in team sports since the age of seven and developing a love for working out and being active, I had finally found a home. I launched myself into the workouts, determined to get better and challenged to become more proficient in all of the new movements that I was learning. Amazingly, even though I was competing with my classmates they were the ones helping me to reach my goals. It was another CrossFit athlete who taught me how to do jump rope double unders. Another helped me with ring dips and yet another helped me develop my handstand push-ups. Wow, this motivated me to want to learn more so that I could help them too, so I decided to study for, and eventually complete my CrossFit Level 1 Certification. After several months of ramping up I started coaching at the end of 2014. I love it! It is so rewarding to help others achieve their fitness goals. I hope to be the guy that helps you get that first double-under or kipping pull-up. Overall I want to foster the spirit of community that is so much a part of CrossFit and I want to be a good teacher, motivator and constant source of positive energy.
